Following an extensive search for a new venue, the 2026 Annual Dinner will take place at The Shankly Hotel in Liverpool City Centre on Saturday 19th September.

All arrangements for this year’s event have now been confirmed, including the evening programme.

Members can look forward to a memorable evening of comradeship, tradition and celebration as we begin a new chapter for the Branch at one of Liverpool’s most recognisable venues.

This year’s Annual Dinner menu brings together classic comfort and modern presentation, with dishes that balance rich seasonal flavours and refined simplicity.

Carefully prepared and visually presented throughout, this year’s menu reflects the new setting at The Shankly Hotel whilst keeping the welcoming atmosphere and traditional spirit of the Irish Guards Annual Dinner.

Pork & Apricot Terrine

A rich and rustic terrine paired with sharp house pickles, caramelised apricot chutney and finely-cut toasted artisan bread. Comforting, traditional flavours presented with a refined modern touch.

(Vegan) Torched Watermelon & Feta

Charred watermelon brings smoky sweetness against creamy vegan feta, balanced with pickled red onion, balsamic glaze and delicate micro herbs. Fresh, vibrant and surprisingly bold in flavour.

Roasted Sirloin of Beef

Perfectly roasted sirloin beef served with crisp foundant potato, seasonal greens and a golden Yorkshire pudding, finished with a rich red wine gravy. A classic British dinner plate elevated with depth, warmth and comfort.

(Vegan) Pearl Barley Risotto

A hearty pearl barley risotto layered with roasted vegetables, toasted seeds and parmesan-style shavings, bringing earthy flavour and delicate texture together in a vibrant, modern vegan dish.

Raspberry & White Chocolate Cheesecake

Smooth white chocolate cheesecake balanced with sharp raspberry notes, finished with delicate garnishes for a dessert that feels both light and indulgent.

(Vegan) Chocolate Brownie

Rich vegan chocolate brownie served warm with silky vegan chocolate sauce and vanilla vegan ice cream. Deep cocoa flavours and soft texture make for a classic finish.
